Default Pet peeve: "The Brethren said that..."

The thing about "the Brethren" is that the phrase excludes women. It reminds us that women play essentially no leadership role in this church.

We don't we just say "The males". Isn't that the same thing. Capitalize it emphasize that it is priesthood leadership, and not just any men. "The Males."

When do we ever refer to "the Sistren"? Do they have their own word?

Shouldn't women have at least a teeny-tiny say-so? Like perhaps the women who are general authorities? Are they general authorities? Then would we stop saying "Brethren"?

It is very autocratic, almost Tayloristic in terms of organizational behavior theory. Production over people.
