I caught that. she went into a drawl really quickly and then pulled back. I guess they speak like that on the North Slope.

I wonder if the enthusiasm for her speech is the result of incredibly low expectations? Kind of like how a family cheers for their little leaguer after he hits a 6 hopper up the third base line to get a single.

yeah. really heavy on the Rs like in country music, but then she gives herself away on the northern Minnes-oh-tan Os.
