Default I have a campaign yard sign for the first time

supporting a GOP state senator.

Why?

1) because he has won an award from a local mental health association for his work
2) he has done a lot for local health initiatives
3) his democratic opponent is obnoxious and has an ugly family
4) a neighbor up the street has a sign for the obnoxious democrat

It's a good feeling to thumb your nose at your neighbor.

Strange that I was going to start a campaign sign thread as well. I'll just add my story to yours.

Not more than 1/2 hour ago, a young man and young woman - both looked to be late teens or early twenties - and asked if they could put an Obama/Biden sign in my yard.

My first answer was a polite no, as I never have campaign signs in my yard. They persisted and I told them that I could never support a baby murdering Marxist who didn't think I should be able to use my guns for self-defense.

They had stunned looks on their faces as I closed the door.

Dang, I hope some JWs knock on my door today.

Wow. Even Heath Ledger would have been more polite to kids than that.

These kids deserved it. If they would have just taken no for an answer, nothing more would have become of it.

The lesson they learned is not to ask a question of which they might not want to hear the answer.

I call BS on this story. IPU would never turn down free swag. I wouldn't be surprised if he changed his political affiliation if a Dem gave him a free t-shirt.

That's it.

You are now officially off my invite list - not that I actually have one, but you've just removed yourself.

Ok, you're still on the invite list. For now.

But YOhio? Never.
