Even though my protest is pissing into the wind, if enough of us, stand up and oppose him, we may rob him of his authority to govern. That is the first step in defeating an opponent. It must start some where.

I don't believe in conciliation because statesmanship does not exist in our world, only partisanship. If we are to be defeated, we should go down fighting hard. He has nothing but disdain for those unrepresented small entrepreneurs, the heart and soul of our economy.

But I will not unite behind bad policy. I will forever be the loyal opposition, loyally speaking out for the unrepresented, the disenfranchised.

It is folly IMHO to unite behind bad policy. Sometimes there is nothing one can do, but to unite behind it, makes no sense.

An example, in a war or battle, one must fight with fellow comrades to defeat a recognizable enemy. But in a battle of words, what benefit is it to unite behind words you don't believe. Should you as a Mormon unite behind a declaration that the Pope is God's spokesman on earth?
