The point not to miss with this story, Cali's hijack attempt notwithstanding, is that the Obama administration is basing their Gitmo policy more on politics than on national security.

It's unfortunately unrealistic to expect that no politics at all will be considered in Gitmo policy, but this is a particularly dangerous game to be playing.

Nonsense. What proof could you possibly be relying on to make such a silly statement?

The only "proof" is the Jed Babbin report, which I am assuming is true for the sake of discussion.

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

Is it really all that necessary to pop your head in just to tell us you are a fascist?

I'm sorry- did you take that as instruction that we are to torture everyone who is evil and/or does wrong?

No, I don't. But you're the one who brought up religion. Not my fault your ignorant retort backfired.
