So you agree that those words don't condone or encourage torture, which is what we are discussing and which is what myboynoah suggested was desirable, and yet you think that my comment, which you have just agreed with, was "ignorant?"

Okey dokey, Glenn.

Your response to myboynoah had nothing to do with the discussion, and also added nothing. But I'm not doing the dance with you again, especially now, when you have nothing useful to say.

Suffice it to say, Obama is only interested in what political gains he can get out Gitmo, actual safety of the American people be damned.

And yet you agreed with it. How ignorant.

Fascist? Really, Mike Waters.

Fascism:

1: a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
2: a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control

Are you still up for waterboarding Snipe?

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

It's probably unwise for me to personally waterboard Snipe, because of my lack of expertise, and the legal liability.

But if you don't believe waterboarding is torture, you ought to have the balls to be willing to submit to it.

Christopher Hitchens was waterboarded, and he confirms, yes, it is torture.

I'm gratified we've ceded all authority on what constitutes torture to Christopher Hitchens.

As someone else aptly observed: "torture is any experience so horrible that no-one would consider trying it out simply for the purpose of writing a Vanity Fair article about what it’s like."

Give me a break. Suffocating someone with water is torture. Period.
