I've been a BYU fan all my life, but when I read all the idiotic blather on CB and TBS, it seriously makes me want to root for the Utes, just to spite the moronic BYU fans. Can someone please walk me back off the ledge?

I don't think I have ever wanted to root for the utes to spite the idiot cougar fans, but when we do lose it makes it easier to handle when I know I have their hilarious meltdonws to look forward to.

Hurry and go read utefans.net. Then, happy in the knowledge that there are idiots everywhere, you will be able to soldier on. That's what I do, at least, that and avoid places like CB. I don't know where fans like that come from. I've lived in 4 non-Utah states, and have watched a lot of football with both BYU and Utah fans, all of whom were good people. I don't know if the message board folks are a tiny minority that finds its outlet online, or if a lot of otherwise normal people become morons on an anonymous forum.

As far as some posters on TBS and CB, I just have to smile or break out into laughter. Some are calling Kyle out for swearing. For swearing for Pete sakes. Then some guy on CB keeps chiding people for congratulating the Utes. He tells them to do it on Ute fans. Next we will have a rule on CB that you can't say anything nice about anyone not associated with BYU. |

If you think the Ute blather is any better than the BYU blather, then be my guest.

Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!! Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith. |
