Default This place has transmogrified into microcougarboard

Waters, what is most profoundly ignorant about your latest invective is your deluded and overblown perception of BYU. Utah has done a lot more for the arts and sciences and hence humanity than BYU, which is what counts.

Yes, Utah adds a lot to the higher education landscape. Unfortunately, for you, 55 places behind BYU.

Utah is a regional school. BYU is a national school that sends its graduates everywhere.

Only a deeply insecure person keeps track of things like BYU is 55 places ahead on the US News rankings. Unless you're in the top 25 it's not worth noting; these are college rankings after all. They are both on first tier, and we both know why Utah's number is depressed. Eventually Utah legislators will have to limit enrollment like they have done at places like Washington and Michigan. I'm still wondering why BYU shot up 50 places from one year to the next. Utah's overall budget including reasearch his way higher than BYU's, and they are of comparable size.
