It's halftime and he's on pace for two receptions. Any other nominees?

yeah, actually not one of Austin's better games.
There was actually audible screaming and yelling in my neighborhood at the end of the game. I guess some folks must have rushed out of their homes and run around on the street, yelling, and making a scene. I can only imagine the feeling. Something like beating Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, I guess. Well, maybe not. Maybe more like beating Michigan in the Holiday Bowl. I can only guess. |

Freeney's injury turned out to be huge. Colts could not get pressure on Brees.
I watched DeMarcus Ware destroy the Saints, so I know what a good outside pass rusher can do against the Saints. It's too bad. Would have been nice to see full-strength Colts take on the Saints. |

An interesting game. I didn't really have a dog in the fight, but I thought after the first half that the Saints wouldn't be able to pull it out. That goalline flub in the 2nd Q was pretty ridiculous.
But the onside kick was gutsy, and they ended up having a lot more grit than I thought. Too bad Collie couldn't have grabbed that pass in the end zone. Nice to see him end up with some decent stats--including one long grab--as a rookie in a Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl MVP is always God, based on post-game talk I've heard. I bet Austin and the Irsays are really puzzled today about what they have done to make God hate them.
