Good point. Any SC decision that is not 9-0 should go before the people.

Nope, that's a straw man. You're on a roll today, ER.

You're wrong on this one. If you look at the deeper social issues of this demo, you'll see why.

If you think it's a slap in the face of the California Supreme Court, you're ignorant. If anything, it was following the decision.
Good point and I completely agree. "Those four Activist Judges" were simply doing their job, and doing it correctly, imo.

I don't think he can. A double irony is that the gruop of our population most struggling to come to terms with the commitments that attend marriage and especially procreation hindered gay marriage yesterday.

Prop 8 passed. The Constitution will be amended.

And somewhere, in some California classroom today, a teacher is still telling his or her students that gays can adopt, some people have 2 moms or 2 dads, that there are all kinds of ways to create a family. Students and parents are still free to organize an optional trip to watch their lesbian teacher get married. Teachers still can hand out the book "King and King" to students. Parents have no more or no less right to opt their kids out of the California education system.

Thank goodness for Prop 8. It saved out children from almost certain doom.

Like JL said, hollow victory.

It is a weird line in the sand that has been drawn, to be sure.

At least the Church's tax exempt status is safe.
