Default the state of BYU - are the faculty being terrorized by a fundamentalist Gestapo?

I have no idea. I don't follow this issue.

I have heard that there is a lot more emphasis on a faculty person's bona fide religious beliefs, so they can root out the persons who aren't true believers. Something like that.

But check out these comments in this BCC article that purport to be from BYU faculty.

For the record, I've always said I would never work at BYU. I used to joke that they only way I would work at BYU is if I was the president. But now I wouldn't even do that.

In some ways, perhaps BYU has become the power base of the fundamentalist wing of the church. Whereas the church itself is not. Very weird.
