from American Idol dress rehearsals. Perhaps some of the rumors about him were true. Il Pad just doesn't see it because he's a music dork and doesn't get into his other son's baseball games.

First, this is the first year in the last 5 that Jeff Archuleta hasn't been my assistant coach.

2nd, my contention has always been that he's not what the entertainment media portrays him to be. They claim he's worse than Jessica Simpson's father. But they didn't tell the part of the story that Jeff wouldn't allow David to attend Hollywood parties that started well after midnight. And this story is written by an entertainment hack, so I'll consider the source.

I'll admit that I haven't been around Jeff while he's on the set at American Idol. But I will always contend that he's a great guy who loves his kids and is trying to protect David from the scum that runs the entertainment industry.
