I was surprised to see that game on NBC when I was at the bar. It's a big deal!

It was on national TV? Cool.

This past summer I got into touch rugby for a bit. Played with a high school team, and then played with a local club team once (practice).

Then I got into watching rugby. I have a friend from South Africa who introduced me to it.

So the one thing that would really move the needle for American rugby is if the American rugby team could improve in the international scene and not just be so awful.

As an American who grew up on football, it's hard for me to adjust to the pace of watching rugby. One can see how the forward pass was such an explosive and fun development. Watching rugby is a little like watching 1940s football. 3 yards and a cloud of dust. And an occasional breakaway.
