Does anyone know anything about a prophecy

involving Lamanites gaining political power in the latter days? Something about them tearing through the Gentiles like a Lion? It sounds vaguely familiar to me, but I can't for the life of me think of where it is. Is it somewhere in the standard works or is this JD type material?

I think it's in the Book of Mormon. Probably in 2 Nephi.

"Then shall ye, who are a a remnant of the house of Jacob, go forth among them; and ye shall be in the midst of them who shall be many; and ye shall be among them as a lion among the beasts of the forest, and as a young lion among the flocks of sheep, who, if he goeth through both treadeth down and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver."
