Does anyone know where I can access the rules (if there are any) regarding what can be reported to a credit reporting agency? Clearly somethings cannot, but I was hoping someone knew the authority that governs off the top of their head.

Is it the Fair Credit Reporting Act and amendments?
15 U.S.C. 1681
