This is a tragic event but it sounds like the guy was killed in the Falklands War, was resurrected and was killed again in Afghanistan.

I recognize it's grammatically correct, but it's still awkward. Babs doesn't like it when I use so many commas but in this instance they might have avoided the awkwardness.
