I thought it provided the perfect amount of answers and cliff hangers, but nothing that will really eat at you as a viewer for the next 6 months or so.
Also, there are two other endings that were taped and "Good Morning America" is showing them tomorrow. I've got the Tivo set. |

I'm hoping their time off during the writers' strike means they're focused on starting season 5 filming sooner than season 4's. I met Naveen Andrews (Sayid) at the SLC airport about a year ago and asked him when season 4 filming was starting, he said August '07. So if Aug. '07 filming meant season 4 released in Jan. '08, if they're filming season 5 now maybe season 5 is released sometime this November.

I thought it was a great episode, and they have season 5 set up to have some great story lines. So is that what Al Gore meant when he talked about a "Locke Box" 7 years ago? (Badaboom) |

I love LOST primarily for the characters and mystery but have been hoping for more realistic or even mystical explanations not sci-fi ones.
I've been mildly disappointed with the major supernatural occurrences. EMP--OK smoke monster--kinda OK until the last one where it destroyed all those guys healing on the island--OK Desmond's seeing the future--OK Desmond's time travel and interaction with Farraday--OK but borderline Ben going in and out of space and time seemingly at will--not OK moving the island--not OK |

I guess it answered enough questions to keep me satisfied for a season until it returns...but yes, there are certainly burning questions going into season 5. |

The show, IMO, has run it's course.
The writers had the chance to make it the greatest show in network television history, and instead, introduced hundreds of peripheral characters, a portion of the island with a giant foot attached to it, the physical moving of the island, a smoke monster who appears is controlled by Ben, Ben being a trained assassin, and now time travel for Ben. I think the writers are in over their heads and doubt they can pull it all together again to salvage the series. Seeing the island disappear, due to the turning of an antiquated wheel, was one of the most ridiculous things I've seen on television. |
