Default Obama's campaign head needs to be fired after this gaffe.

Quote:
But the campaign crossed a line when it ridiculed McCain because he "can't send an e-mail," and unwittingly embroiled itself in another controversy that will throw the campaign off message. The charge is true, McCain cannot send e-mails. But the reason, which the Obama campaign clearly did not take the time to investigate, is that because of his Vietnam War injuries, suffered at the hands of his tortuous North Vietnamese captors, Sen. McCain cannot type on a keyboard.

The Boston Globe reported the details in an article first published in March 2000.

McCain gets emotional at the mention of military families needing food stamps or veterans lacking health care. The outrage comes from inside: McCain's severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes.
Way to go Obama. this should go over well with veterans.

That is what is known in the military (and elsewehere) as a clusterfuck. A term Obama is likely not familiar with since he's spent his entire life among elitists.

Ultimately, the "e-mail attack" shouldn't be offensive, so much as it's pretty well insignificant. McCain knows how to use the internet, and he reads blogs, but he hasn't found enough reason to use email.

Here's another McCain article that paints him in a more accurate light than the "email attack" paints him...the relevant paragraph is roughly halfway down the page (NY Times requires free registration, BTW):

Are you talking about him not believing gay couples should not adopt?

No, the paragraph where he didn't identify as an "evangelical Christian", but a "Christian".

Got it.

I suppose he needed to do that so folks won't mistake him for Huckabee.

Certainly an important distinction to make for McCain.
