My wife and I have been watching this show and really like it. There was a lot of hype from the far right about how this show was a plot to get America used to a femail president (i.e. Hillary). Supposedly the creator of the show was her speechwriter as First Lady or something like that.

Anyway, we like the show and I'm not seeing the connection. The character is an Independent and the premise of how she became President is preposterous. And the way she is snubbing her nose at both sides of the aisle is totally unrealistic as well. But it's still a good show.
