Cali Coug has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Default Clinton just gave the speech of her life.

That was fantastic.

Are you serious? I already can't recall one thing she said except for the Twin Cities comment. The rest of it was fluffy stumping. Booooooring.

After reading so many orgasmic declarations by Cali, it seems to be he only chums the water, with great success, but nobody as smart as he can believe one thousandth of what he posts on politics.

Good job chumming.

We have Cali as anti-matter, and formerly Tex as matter. However, Tex has mellowed. Maybe just maybe if the sharks ignore the chum, real discussion could ensue.

It is my somewhat skeptical opinion, and I know I'm viewed often as overly optimistic toward matters political, that we will continue to see a worsening of the quality of people entering national politics, to a point that the central government, except in terms of certain government contracts handed out, will become largely irrelevant. We will balkanize and move away from government in the traditional sense, and move more towards anarchy.

This process will become more and more brutal, and the humanity of the politicians will be all but eliminated. It is cyclical and we need a complete cleansing of the corrupt body politic. That doesn't mean they won't be able to pull off some charades, but the more you work behind the scenes, the more you can see how laughable it is to believe in anything any of those people produce. We are suckers to take them for anything. It will be a brutal, inhumane process.

And that's my sunny side.

Do you plan on moving to rural Idaho or Wyoming anytime soon to join Bo Gritz or however the hell you spell his name? I'm glad you're here, though; our democracy needs people like you.

I don't see Armageddon, just a social brutalization and cleansing before we find our identity. Perhaps some elements of terror will manifest themselves if segments feel isolated or ignored.

We have a Balkanization occurring, where more and more groups feel a greater malaise, a greater sense of loss of identity, a bureaucratization of society to an extent we're no longer invested.

Do I feel invested in the East Coast? No, it's not even part of my country, except for vacation.

We have no central identity. In the 80s I had an identity for my country, it may have been false, but I had one. Today, I have none. It's a place to store my stuff.

but given enough sheckles, I could very happily live elsewhere disconnected an uninvolved. This is our current society. We have nothing left to invest in, and we will continue to brutalize figuratively the politicians because they don't stand for us and don't mean anything to us. I realize in certain sectors some are experiencing a temporary Obama Messiahship, but that too will wain.

An example for me of what we will become is pre Deng Xio Ping China, where bureaucracies had overtaken production, society had bogged down, motivation was at an all time low, and a general social malaise existed within Chinese society. We have that feel about us.

That doesn't mean discreet sectors may overcome the malaise, or even prosper by being sheltered with surrounding failure, but we have no identity, no investment, no purpose. We're wandering aimlessly. Old values are meaningless. If gay marriage is the most central debate, a marginal issue, then we have no vision.

What is our purpose relative to a global market?

What is our purpose relative to the global political communities?

What is our purpose relative to values?

What are our community values?

If I had asked those questions in 1950, you'd be able to develop a reasonable consensus. Now, I doubt you could.
