Default Mobile Temples

The idea of mobile temples (or tabernacles, I suppose) has popped up now and again in the Church (and most recently during President McKay's tenure, if memory serves), and I kind of like it. The tabernacle, considered the dwelling place of God, could move about the "pasture" and amongst the "sheep" (the tribes of Israel).

I really enjoy the language in 2 Samuel 7.

And here I was, waiting for someone to mention that Air-Turtle Hospital of the Skies investment opportunity thing. Does anyone else remember that?

Revivalists use great big tents. Much more practical and cost efficient.

I'm looking forward to the day when right after the Saturday morning session of General Conference ends, in addition to the numerous LDS book ads you see afterwards, there will be a an ad for a "have a temple in your own house" contractor that will put on an extension with an oxheaded hot tub, projection theater and oversized chandelier.

Lol...I have been into a home with an ox headed tub that had a picture window put in just so you could look out on the Provo temple.

I was more hoping for Temple Cruise Lines, and Temple Air lines, where you don't even have your feet on the ground for being heaven sent.
