Jesus the Christ is one of a few extra-canonical volumes to receive the endorsement of the First Presidency. Further, it has enjoyed a longer circulation among Latter-day Saint readers than any other volume in Church history (by scores of decades [J. now recognizes that this doesn’t make any sense]).
