Oh man, that is some really weak smack.

Smith is a rookie who has played half of two preseason games.

Rattay has several years experience.

Not only is Rattay the better NFL QB, so are at least 50 others.

You can use the same excuses for Rattay that you are using for Smith.....Rattay played behind a bad line last year and did not have any go to receivers. Rattay is a good QB and right now is better than Alex. Alex has a lot to learn and has the opportunity to be a good QB too, but for now, the 49ers see that Smith needs a lot of work before he is ready. Alex needs to learn the NFL system to be a good QB and forget the Meyer style of offense which does not work in the NFL.
