Interesting that you said that because the patriarch in my stake taught a sunday school class comparing the seed of Abraham and Ishmael and said exactly that. He spoke of the major influences of Islam during the Christian dark ages. Advances in mathematics, medicine, etc. Then how after the enlightenment Islam fell into its own dark ages and has been ever since.
