So basically they blow themselves up with homemade rockets, then blame the Israelis, then fire rockets at the Israelis, which leads to closure of the borders, meaning thousands of Palestinians can't get to work, meaning more hardship.

Which I guess is exactly that Hamas wants. Make the people suffer and they will not blame you. They will support you.

If they keep this up, I am all for Israel closing the border for the forseeable future. Let the Palestinians kill each other like dogs, or let them emerge as civilized people. It's really maddening.
