Interesting punishment. Seems fair, although a suspension would've sent the harsh message the Goddel is trying to send. It'll be interesting to see where this goes from here.

As for Bellicheck and Mangini, I wonder if when Mangini was interviewing with the Jets, he sought Bellichecks advice and was told that he wasn't ready to be a head coach, but he proceeded with the interview process anyway. You don't see Bellicheck doing this kind of stunt when he plays the Browns.

I think the NFL should come down very hard on the Patriots - as in forfeit the entire season and no draft picks for 2 years.

Not that drastic but the punishment was weak.

I really enjoyed the article today about Wade Wilson on espn.com, dude took HGH because of diabetes and erectile dysfunction, told the NFL about it and got 5 games and 100 k.

Is Roger losing credibility? I think he is as his punishments are proving inconsistent.

It would not surprise me in the slightest if, before the season ends, Belichick resigns, or is suspended, or is fired by Kraft, or even is permanently barred from the league. Belichick's head might be necessary to preserve the integrity of the game. Surprisingly soon, sacrificing Belichick to save professional football might seem an attractive option, even to Kraft. Remember, there is no law of nature that says the NFL must remain popular.

This is going to be an even larger downgrade in coaching than Jimmy Johnson / Barry Switzer. Marty was fired out of pride. Norv was a panic replacement. There is no way in hades the Chargers are going to the Super Bowl.
