Do you ever make it out Livermore way? Wente Vineyards actually has a nice restaurant out there and decent live music, esp if you like 70s and 80s artists. I know it is basically in the complete opposite direction from your place to Oakland, but still close enough that it is worth a visit.

Every year I pcik one or two concerts at Wente but for various reasons have never actually made it to one. Maybe this year. It lloks like a nice venue.
