Default Deshawn Stevenson calls LeBron James Over-rated

Went to the Wizards/Cavs game last night. Washington won a close one 101-99. Apparently Stevenson was jawing with LeBron the whole game and in the post game, called LeBron Over-rated. Stevenson has turned into a pretty good player since leaving the Jazz. He's been a key component of the Wizards the last two seasons. However, when Cleveland owns a 2-0 playoff advantage over you...I don't know that you want to be calling out LeBron.

In former Jazz related news, Sasha Pavlovic has also turned into quite a threat. He was knocking down threes left and right last night. Finished with 23 or 24 points I think. I still don't understand why they left him unprotected in the expansion draft and hung on to Collins and Borchardt.

Do you have any more games against Cleveland this year Drum? Because if you do, you can already thank Deshawn for the loss...

Deshawn is very good friends with Drew Gooden who played with Lebron and recently was traded away. I wonder if part of it had to do with that as Lebron was rather vocal about the need to get rid of players like Gooden and bring in better talent.

And sizzle is correct, look for Lebron to go for 60 on Deshawn.

Here is the thing about Lebron. I think he would just as soon beat somebody by 60 than go off for 60. Maybe Deshawn calling him over-rated will allow him to do both.

To be honest I do think Bron Bron is a bit overrated. That said I think that he's one of the few if only players that has exceeded the hype. I mean who was more hyped coming into the league? He's an all-world talent. But I think Kobe said it best this week in SI when he was asked about LeBron as MVP and he said, "Put me in the East and see what happens."

And because Bron Bron is in the East he can go off for 60 and beat another team by 60.

How about have LeBron and Kobe switch teams?

I guarantee Kobe would be whining about wanting a trade within a week and sulking during games.

Probably. But I also guarantee that Kobe would have the Cavs at better than a mid-tier team in the Eastern Conference and that he'd be averaging 35+ PPG.

Lebron:
31 ppg
8 rpg
7.5 apg
2 spg

He's 23 years old.

Kobe's 4th year at 23:
22.5 ppg
6.3 rpg
5.0 apg
1.6 spg

Impressive for a 23 year old. But I'd still have a hard time calling Lebron over-rated. Unless I am a Lakers fan jealous of the attention that he is stealing away from Kobe. Then I might call him over-rated.

What I mean by over-rated is that he's not the best player in the NBA. 2nd best. As far as MVP voting, he's 3rd. Kobe, Paul, LeBron, McGrady (by pure virtue of the streak). Any talk of LeBron as MVP isn't really deserved. His team in the west would be 10th and out of the playoffs. Kobe has his team in a tie for first in the west.

LeBron is the man. In a few years he will be the best in the NBA. He'll be the best in the world. He still isn't a lockdown defender like Kobe and I don't think he has the "I'm going to tear your heart out and eat it" mentality like Kobe either. Though he is getting there. He's already showing his ability to dominate in the 4th. At this point though he's just not as complete a player as Kobe is. That's not a knock on him. I mean nobody else in the world is either.

Nice stats. Kobe was also sharing the ball with Shaq who chewed up a ton of boards and shot attempts. And he was still playing in the west which 5-6 years ago was still far superior to the east as a conference.
