Wildcatters. Of course they'll have to first negotiate with whoever owns the name of the now defunct Wyoming Wildcatters, formerly of the CBA. But that's what it will be, book it.

From what I have read the leading contenders fall in the area of western themes (Bandits, Barons, Outlaws) or weather (Twisters, Whirlwinds, etc). Another name that has been discussed is OKC Energy. The local rag seemed to like Barons with a black and gold color scheme. However, the NBA and lawyers have to get in the act so they don't violate any other sports teams' service marks. I don't think anyone really knows what they'll come up with.

FWIW in the NBA summer league they are being called NBA OKC.
