Default My thoughts on the seed/tourney

RPI = 18, 5 seed
avg comp ranking = 33, 9 seed
my comp ranking = 28, 7 seed

Xavier

RPI = 32, 8 seed
avg comp ranking = 39, 10 seed
my comp ranking = 40, 10 seed

The RPI gave us false hope. I think we're probably a 7-9 seed. Xavier is probably a 10 seed, so we got a decent pairing.

It's a bummer we're facing Ohio State in the second round, but at this point all I want is one game and I'll be happy. Let's build on that.

I don't like how much the selection committee is now emphasizing conf tournaments given that UNLV will always have such a huge advantage with that.

I'd like to scrap the RPI, go with a computer avg like the BCS does, and let the committee be forced to use quantitative methods to select teams. Stanford at #65 RPI, #54 computers is a joke.
