Big choke by Rose tonight

We would have been better off just letting them take uncontested layups than play a zone. Rose switched to a zone when we started picking up fouls, and it really sparked their offense. This was a grave tactical error on the opponent's home floor which, by the sound of the crowd, it was. Oh, and playing zone with Vuk in was an even worse decision.

It was bad enough when Rose did it to stall time, but he compounded the mistake when he tried it again with a couple minutes to go, promptly giving up another 3.

With that said, I really like Rose's offense. It's creative, diverse, and fits our personnel well. Oh, and at least we are a football school.

I have said this before and I still believe it. Rose is a very good offensive coach, but he is a terrible defensive coach. In his two years at BYU the defense was really bad the first year, and mediocre to bad the second year.
