This disturbing piece reminded me of the article above.

Namely, that while being in the country might usually lean less like attacks, when the attacks come, they will be of a brutality that you can't imagine, because there is no fear of interference from others. Your isolation is a two-edged sword.

Sounds more like an indictment of home-schooling than a warning regarding isolation.

I just handed out the link to the Ferfal piece to a church member who had questions about disaster preparedness. As in "end of the world" preparedness.

What in the world would make them think I would be a good person to ask these kinds of questions?
