Cummard's biggest liability, I bet, is that he is not considered a scorer.

A limited repertoire of ways to score. So don't give him too much credit for his high FG %. It's an indictment as much as it is a compliment.

Yeah a steady stream of solid shooting through the duration of a career is such a damning hindrance.

He doesn't take difficult shots. Those shots he gets won't be available at the next level.

12 foot from the basket on the baseline. Turn around over much smaller defender. Won't be there in the NBA.

He can't go to the rim and finish, so defenders will be right on him challenging him to drive.

Easy shot not available? Cummard passes out.

If Cummard was such a great scorer, then why does he only attempt 5 to 8 shots in key games where BYU is struggling on offense (like Xavier, UNLV in MWC Champ. and Texas A&M)?

Because he can't create his own shot.

I've never contended Cummard will stick in the NBA. His career is overseas.

It certainly speaks to the lack of basketball intelligence for a player good enough to take lots of wide open shots.

I've agreed with those who say that Cummard needs to be more aggressive.

Where did I ever say he was a great scorer?

I think that Cummard is a great player but most BYU fans dont recognize who he is. He isn't a #1 option guy. I wonder if his production will dwindle without Plaisted there to draw alot of attention.

Without Plaisted it will certainly open more shots for Jimmer. He'll have every opportunity to step up this season.
