I am pretty tickled to see him have to face this problem, actually. It is a completely self inflicted wound. When you have just one or two rules that everyone can live with, you don't need to expend tremendous energy policing those rules.

On the other hand, when you decided to impose your own hypersensative view of appropriateness, which is well off kilter from most folks, people are going to run afoul of it constantly in the normal course of things. At that point your only two choices are to lighten up or to waste tons of time. I think we all know that lighten up isn't one of the possibilities for his holiness.

Luckily for him, I'm sure there is no shortage of self-important types who will be all to happy to police everyone else. I'm so glad this board exists as an alternative to that nonsense.

In the past week this site has almost completely replaced cougarboard for me. Now that we've added a few more quality contributors the pace here is almost perfect.
