ive seriously always wondered about this. who can talk with your wife about issues of the church?

i always envision a wife not really understanding and getting upset at her doubting husband...

My wife has already expressed concern over the law of polygamy. In regards to celestial marriage, men can marry again for time and eternity, while women can only marry for time after her first marriage (if it ends in death of course....not divorce).

She always expresses that she wants me and that's it. She doesn't want her time shared with another woman. I feel the same way, I can't wait until it's just me and my wife again.

But think....omnipresent....doesn't that mean something?

But I think she would have a very difficult time with some of what's happened in the church.

I share all of the controversial findings with my wife. She always has interesting angles and insights that I do not. No use keeping things secret when it comes to matters of faith.

My significant other is perfect in these situations.

She is a fantastic listener. Whenever I have an issue I need to talk about, she won't say a word. Come to think of it, she's all around perfect. She always maintains her figure, is very low maintanence, and will definitely never leave me. Though somewhat fragile, if she's ever pierced it's not too difficult to patch up the relationship. Anytime I ever need anything, she never tells me no.

Cooking needs improvement, but hey, there's only so much an inflatable woman can do.

I never talk about those things with my wife. It's kind of like the movie The Matrix. After Zeo discovers that his life as he knew it was just an illusion, his life is a mess. He probably would have been happier if he had never taken the red pill.

I don't think that my wife knows too much about that side of early church history and I don't think that she wants to. I remember one day saying to her, "Did you know that Joseph Smith had 33 wives?" She didn't answer. I think that she prefers not to think about it.

I admit that I am lacking in knowledge of early church history. I haven't really felt interested in exploring it that much-- given the choice, I usually would rather read something else. Perhaps on some level, maybe I am afraid to know too much. However, I do like reading the posts of people here who are learned this area. And Mike has highly recommended the David O McKay bio, so I will probably read it sometime in the near future.

I'm just happy if my wife attends one session of Church. Discussing doctrine usually leads to fights, so we ignore such matters and fight about other stuff. Like who squeezed the toothpaste from the middle.

Where do you find information about all of these things? Anywhere I look is from anti-mormon sources. I would like to know where people go to get their information?
