Default Casting Fate to the Wind

Voting for McCain because:

1. Advocates GOP Principles - Less government, lower overall taxes; emphasizes self reliance, states' rights, etc. Respects personal liberties. Comparsions to W do not fly, he is a non-GOP hybrid.

2. Leadership - Proven leader, knows how build consensus, effective in a crisis, trustworthy.

3. Reminds me of LaVell - stoic, unflashy, just gets the job done.

Even if you are right about less government, it will not result in less taxes. War is expensive. There is no possible to way to pay for Dubya's wars. How will we pay for the inevitable war he will start with Iran?

I see it another way. McCain isn't actively promoting more government is, but Obama is. More government will not only more problems but will create more expenses, including additional expenses related to military activities.

We can debt finance and default. There are more ways than one to pay for it and it shows a lack of imagination to rely exclusively upon taxation.
