Yes they are. In fact, they are worse. I would like to hear what ERcougar thinks. I have talked to a couple of orthopods about them and they hate tramps.

We had a trampoline growing up and loved it.

If any neighborhood kids or friends wanted to jump on it, my parents made their parents sign waivers first and if they refused to sign then they weren't allowed to jump. *Cue the lawyers saying it wouldn't hold up in court* posts.

One accident happened in all those years we had. My little brother broke his elbow while trying to show my Sister-in-law how high he could jump.

It was worth it.

I wasn't kidding when I stated you should speak with your insurance agent, and see what they think.

Yes talk to your orthopod, your insurance agent and the scumbucket trial attorney.

My bad. I didn't realize that you have talked to a couple of orthopods and they hate tramps. I guess they are worse than I originally thought.

Suit yourself. You say they aren't, I say they are. I say I talked to a couple of orthopods, you say you had one or something. Big deal; it is all a bunch of opinions.

Your insurance agent will likely have the actuarial data on them. Yes they are fun, when managed, but as creekster points out, it seems children sometimes exercise bad judgment.

In your years of ownership have you ever witnessed an injury?

In 25 years of family trampoline ownership, I have yet to witness an injury worthy of an ER trip.

Some other info:

http://www.med.umich.edu/1libr/pa/pa_trampinj_hhg.htm

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends against having a tramp at home.
