My son is an athlete what should I do?
He loves to run. He's fast, precociously so. He also likes to play catch and throw. I'd like to help him realize his full potential, but not push him too hard. I need some advice.
Should I be patient? He's thirteen months old now. And I am looking at the prospect of telling him not to run in the halls at church, and he hasn't even uttered his first word yet (so can't really expect him to understand me). |

Don't make the same mistakes I did
I made the mistake of repressing my son's will to run at the same age. It all started with grabbing him as he ran towards the sacrament table during testimony meeting....
Now he wears sweater vests to church, he has replaced his baseball glove with gardening gloves and now he is considering taking up the clarinet. For the sake of all that is holy with BYU sports, let him run!!! |
