If "hard fouling" in the paint was such an advantage, I think we would see a lot more of it.
The reason it would not be an advantage is that good straight up defense causes a lot of misses. Giving up free throws, 3 point plays and getting your bigs in foul trouble do not help. So I'm guessing it is not as simple and easy as you say. I could be wrong however. Maybe hard fouling is the solution to poor defense. |
