I am currently riding Specialized Mondo All Terrain tires. They've been great. I pay about $45 each at our local shop and will keep riding them as long as they carry them.

I've ridden Contis in the past and really liked them, although I didn't get as many miles out of them as I have these. I've also ridden Michelin carbon tires. They had a great road feel, but were very fragile. I blew the side wall out of both of them within probably 1,000-1,500 miles.

I buy the Contis and have good luck with them.

Blowouts are weird, in that, sometimes you can go for months without one and then you'll suffer a bunch in short time frame. It's usually related to road debris or bad luck.
