That's because the RNC is not an Obama lovefest. Remember, the media are liberals who worship Obama.

I thought the DNC was pretty mediocre.

I didnt think the Republicans were going to trump it by throwing an even more blase party. Who has spoken there? I know the big concern is figuring out how to keep W's attendance at a minimum. Also, I saw that McCain's wife showed up to ask for donations for storm victims. Laura Bush also showed up and stumped for cash in between her hourly puffs of tobacco.

So far, the biggest news this week has been the storm, followed by Palin's illegitimate grandchild.

Not exactly the best way to get your message out there, but hey....maybe McCain is once again playing the media like a virtuoso.

So the repubs got the black person thing out of the way very quickly, on the first day, right at the beginning? Shrewd.

Also, I just read a story that says that the W problem has been solved. Apparently, they don't want that walking ratings disaster anywhere near the convention either, but they may allow him to speak via a closed circuit satellite broadcast from somewhere very far away.

So in sum:

1. The new VP candidate is being overshadowed by a redneck hockey player.
2. The Presidential Candidate is being overshadowed by the weather.
3. The sitting President is uninvited and may not be allowed to speak at all.

Sounds like a winner.

Pathetic huh. I haven't seen any polls recently, but Obama should easily have a comfortable double digit lead. There is no way this thing is close.

Clever.

How about this one, in the same vein....

"McCain was almost dead even in the polls with Obama until late last week. Now he has dropped 8 full points.....what happened over the last few days that has hurt him so badly?"

Sexism? Hardly.

I really respect her. For example, check out this picture of her, in an obvious homage to vaginal childbirth.

How could anyone not respect that?

The world needs more Sarah Palins, frankly.

My apologies. To what to you attribute the decent bump (3-4 pts) from yesterday to today? Delayed reaction to Obama's historic convention speech?

Should, but doesn't. Yet.

Mike was right. This report is a load of crap.

And Bumiller writes that Governor Palin "was a member for two years in the 1990s of the Alaska Independence Party." Not true, and unsourced. Governor Palin has been a registered Republican since 1982.

also check the original blog post. it has been updated with these crazy things called "facts".

Quote:
Gail Fenumiai, director of the Alaska Division of Elections, tells ABC News that regardless of the impression given to members of the Alaskan Independence Party, "Gov. Sarah Palin first registered to vote in the state in May 1982 as a Republican, and she has not changed her party affiliate with the Division of Elections since that time."
