The point not to miss with this story, Cali's hijack attempt notwithstanding, is that the Obama administration is basing their Gitmo policy more on politics than on national security.
It's unfortunately unrealistic to expect that no politics at all will be considered in Gitmo policy, but this is a particularly dangerous game to be playing.

It's probably unwise for me to personally waterboard Snipe, because of my lack of expertise, and the legal liability.
But if you don't believe waterboarding is torture, you ought to have the balls to be willing to submit to it. Christopher Hitchens was waterboarded, and he confirms, yes, it is torture. |
