2,974 people died on 9/11 (not counting the hijackers). KSM has 2,791 more turns at the waterboard.

J.G. Ballard dead.

Quote:
Ballard focused heavily in his work on what he saw as the negative effect on mankind of advancing technology and rejected the belief that humans can constantly improve themselves.

Ballard often portrayed social and technological developments as adding to a sense of human worthlessness, rather than aiding the progression of mankind.

"The Enlightenment view of mankind is a complete myth. It leads us into thinking we're sane and rational creatures most of the time, and we're not," Ballard said in a 2003 interview with Australian newspaper The Age.

Because of the lack of video and photos, and the fact that Obama is owned by the oligarch and multinationals and and other powers, no one will be held to account for lowering the USA to a 3rd-world petty dictatorship.

The point not to miss with this story, Cali's hijack attempt notwithstanding, is that the Obama administration is basing their Gitmo policy more on politics than on national security.

It's unfortunately unrealistic to expect that no politics at all will be considered in Gitmo policy, but this is a particularly dangerous game to be playing.

Nonsense. What proof could you possibly be relying on to make such a silly statement?

The only "proof" is the Jed Babbin report, which I am assuming is true for the sake of discussion.

Fascist? Really, Mike Waters.

Fascism:

1: a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
2: a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control

Are you still up for waterboarding Snipe?

It's probably unwise for me to personally waterboard Snipe, because of my lack of expertise, and the legal liability.

But if you don't believe waterboarding is torture, you ought to have the balls to be willing to submit to it.

Christopher Hitchens was waterboarded, and he confirms, yes, it is torture.
