Default FCA stipends will help with Polynesian recruiting. Here's why.

Economic concerns loom larger for Polynesian families. In the book Scorecasting: Hidden Influences Behind How Sports Are Played and Games are Won, Tobias Moskowitz showed how Latin baseball players are much more likely to use PEDs while white players are more likely to smoke weed. That is because when you're returning to the Dominican Republic or Venezuela, you stand to lose much more if you don't make it as a baseball player.

And since economic concerns are more pressing for Poly vis-a-vis white families, the high FCA stipends paid by BYU will be ever more enticing for the family of the Poly recruit.
