Default I stumbled onto the Richardson

endorsement while channel hopping. I thought Obama was being endorsed by the head of the fruit pickers union in Southern California until the sub title flashed on it was Governor Richardson.

Maybe I don't see that guy enough, but he seems a bit unhinged. He was clearly the odd man out during the debates and now he has that sculpted facial hair. He has been a gaff machine the past couple of years. I bet he would be fun to golf with.

What's his story? He's hispanic yet sports a name from the north countries.

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.

I like ill-fitting last names. We just got a new elder in our ward who is very Samoan (and who would love to walk on as an RB at BYU after his mission). His last name is Vanderhoff (apparently a Northern European RM managed to climb the family tree awhile back). And my law partner, who is Jewish, has two sons by his Vietnamese ex-wife. The kids are in high school, look Vietnamese, and enjoy the doubletakes when they announce their names as Andy and Jeff Cohen.

We have a nice polynesian lad whose first name is Brigham and last name something like Pratt.

He vowed to wear a beard until UNM won a NCAA Championship and Danny Granger let him down.
