Before I had a child I had my DVDs organized by genre and then those were organized alphabetically. Now, my daughter pulls them out and they go back where they go back.

Whichever DVD my kids just watched is on top of the pile, the case is nowhere to be found. That's our system.

I ask because I thought it would be a challenge to arrange them chronologically, and figured it would be uncommon. Which came first, War Games or Fast Times? Last Crusade or Edward Scissorhands?

By adding my daughter's movies to the mix, Snow White is in slot #1, followed by Wizard of Oz.

I should do the same with my sports on VHS. I have 30 Super Bowls including #3. The commercials are whack. Our grandparents were more perverted than they let on.

Who really does this? I thought I was the organizer/neat freak. I didn't even do this when I was single and childless. Who gives a crap?

We have a stack that stays in the entertainment center the whole time, and a short stack of rated R ones that occasionally migrate to our room when the Young Men come over for an activity. We don't actually own that many dvds.

I have everything in my house organized alphabetically - DVDs, CDs, the non-perishables in the pantry, etc. It's so much easier to find what I'm looking for.

My 11-month-old loves to pull the CD's out of the shelf, so we just put them back. There is no order.

Of course, it's not like we have tons - maybe 50 or so. My wife doesn't like watching movies over that she's already watched.

I do, but I find I don't have that much time to do it, anyway.
