I've found that the amount of money one owns has little to do with whether one follows through on promised meal. Exhibit A: BYU71.

I really wasn't that poor. Just on the lower rungs of the middle class. But the way my parents worried about money, we might as well have been dirt-poor.

I was also poor compared to my peers, which makes you feel poorer. When I lived in Missouri when my dad was a grad student, we were poor, but it didn't feel poor because everyone I knew was poor too. Dangers of comparison.

We were pretty poor, my parents are not real good with their money. I lived in 11 houses in 3 years, my parents would get some money and good jobs and we would move in to a bigger house. Then they would lose their job or get in over their heads and we would move to a smaller house, and so on. At one point my dad broke his ankle and couldnt work, my mom was doing everything she could, I was 14 and I washed dishes at JBs restaurant, we were evicted and lived in our car and with friends for 2 months until they saved up enough rent money for a new place.

I moved out when I was 17 and the process for my parents has continued.

Did 71 punk out on a promised meal?

That is disappointing, frankly.

Matiki is very good in my opinion. You tell me the time and day and My wallet and myself will be there.

Yeah, whatever, like that would ever happen. Next thing you are going to tell me is that they make phones that you can take with you wherever you want. You and your futuristic dreams.

I got in last night.

Not sure of my lunch schedule tomorrow, but it is definitely a possibility. I will be on campus, though.

I never liked that song at all. Mostly because it ripped off Queen and what's-his-face denied it at first until he realized that most of the world preferred Queen to his crap.
