Default Sondre Lerche on "Dan in Real Life" soundtrack

After a lovely dinner at our local shabu shabu house, saw Dan in Real Life last night with TripletMommy.

I enjoyed the movie.

If someone would like exposure to nice indie folk music, go run and buy the soundtrack. It is done by Sondre Lerche, a fantastic folk pop singer from Norway. I have always enjoyed his stuff, from "On the tower" to "Phantom Punch."

You can sample some of his tunes for free at his myspace website...most are from the soundtrack.

Also, if you are in LA next week, let's hook up at his show at The Troubadour. He is currently on a US club tour. Check him out.

I saw Dan in Real Life a couple weeks ago and enjoyed it much more than I expected I would. A very well written script I thought, and though the story was a bit predictable, overall it was an entertaining film. The only thing I couldn't really accept was Binoche's initial interest in Dane Cook. I don't think he was the right guy for that part.

He was also fairly pretty for a family of otherwise unattractive people.

I think the whole point was to blatantly mis-match the two characters....she was coming off a messy relationship and was likely not making good decisions, so she rebounds with a good looking gym rat as opposed to an intellectual and emotion soul mate.

One thing I really enjoyed about the movie, aside from the music, was the portrayel of the family bond. When my family gets together, it is similar....lots of food, talking, laughing, games, etc... All the siblings get along well, including spouses and nieces/nephews, so it is usually pretty fun. Watching that brought back some good memories for me The only difference is that we dont have a waterfront cabin in Rhode Island. We just hang out at my brother's house in Claremont. And we never do aerobics as a family.

All good points. I had some of the same pleasant memories throughout the film. We have a large, tight knit family and many musicians among the bunch. The talent shows and songs reminded me of Christmas time when we all get together. We never do aerobics as a family, but maybe we should that looked kind of fun.

Sondre Lerche. Saaaahhndraaayyy Leehhrrshaaaayyyy. I think.
Really though, I've heard this guy on Sirius Radio and he is really good. Haven't seen Dan In Real Life, however. I'm still too busy enjoying Wendy in Real Life.

Well, once you are done pleasuring yourself, go buy the soundtrack. you may enjoy it, although maybe not as much.
