I would argue that a Bishop who requires the prayer to be perfect with no corrections allowed is in the obscure minority.
I have seen it happen in two different wards. And Elder Ballard counseled bishops to lighten up on the issue at a recent leadership meeting. Apparently, he must feel it is significant enough of an issue that it needed to be addressed.

You're just a defer-to-authority statist, Mike. Try thinking for yourself for a change.

Personally, I would love to see the priest try to take all the trays of water in his hands before saying the blessing.

I think we should bless spray bottles. Then the deacons can go down the rows and spray into people's mouths, like a bird feeding her chicks.

These discussions remind me of the constant push-pull dynamics at play in guiding and helping youth.

Everytime I read through the D&C, "the kneel with the church" bit sticks in my head. I think I'd like doing it.

OUr pews are too narrow.

When I was a priest we read this and got the idea that all of us would kneel together, instead of just one kneeling while the other priests stood. SO we did. We thought we might get in trouble but no one seemed to care too mcuh either way and eventually the practice sort of petered out.
