He genuinely seemed confused most of the game where to go with the ball.
Right. I'm also not naive enough to say that Bronco won't make tweaks that he feels will put him in the best spot to win the game, but if he thinks that he can win sticking to his core, then he'll do it.

Bronco blitzed 5 times against UNM.

1. Tackle for loss by David Nixon
2. Tackle for loss by David Nixon
3. Tackle for loss by Matt Bauman
4. Sack by Coleby Clawson
5. Sack by Coleby Clawson

I think he is using the blitz effectively but he needs to use it more often.

Were those blitzes or plays made by the OLB assigned to pass rush?

I don't consider it a blitz when the OLB lines up as a fourth DL.

I'm not accusing you of being naive.

I agree with what you've said.

Wasn't supposed to come across as defensive. Just wanted to clarify as well. Same page.

If those were actual blitzes and not just formations that is still too few IMO. 5 blitzes with as many plays UNM ran?

I also think it has something to do with getting a lead out of the gates and forcing the offense to play out of their comfort zone in order to play catch up.

I agree that bonehead play to great play ratio is in our favor, especially in our conference.
