The coolest celeb I met was Beck. I was covering the X96 B.A.S.H. at the Salt Lake Fairpark for the Daily Universe. I wielded my press pass to get backstage and went up to him. A security guard told me he was in a hurry and couldn't talk to me, but Beck interrupted the guard and said he could spare a moment to talk to me.

I have also met Jared Leto, Andie MacDowell and several celebrities with a Mormon/Utah connection (Larry King, Donny Osmond, Stephen Covey, Steve Young).

I also talked to Duncan Sheik on the phone (one hit wonder, I can't even remember his song) and one of the guys from They Might Be Giants (I remember their songs, but I can't remember his name.) But yes, Beck was by far the coolest and nicest on my list.
